Steve Miller Band at the Greek

Had a bitchin’ good time at the Greek Theatre last night seeing the Steve Miller Band. He opened with ‘Big Ol’ Jet Airliner’ and ‘Take the Money and Run’ and then did a good job of mixing up past hits with lesser known songs and Blues/R&B covers from his new album.
The Greek, nestled in Griffith Park, is an awesome venue. It only holds about 5,800 people, so it’s an intimate setting. The food and beer bars are easily accessible, so you can drop down from your seats and grab a blue moon or nachos within minutes. The band’s encore was ‘Fly Like An Eagle,’ ‘Jungle Love,’ and ‘Swingtown.’
It’s great to see some of these classic bands still rockin’ it around the world. I’ve been trying to catch some of them while they’re still kickin’ it.
